Thanks Just Doesn't Seem Like Enough

[et_pb_section admin_label="section"][et_pb_row admin_label="row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text"] You guys, how do you say thanks to someone for risking their life every day so we can live in a free country? Just saying the words doesn't seem like enough to me. I'm turning into a softy in my old age. I cry every time I hear the playing of "The National Anthem" or "God Bless America." I get teary when I see a soldier at an airport wondering if he or she is coming home or leaving to report for duty. I always make it a point to say thank you to them, especially in front of my children. I want my kids to know how important our soldiers are. I want them to know that their Grandfather, uncles, cousins, and some of Mommy & Daddy's friends have served and still serve their country proudly. I want them to know WHY they do it. I want them to understand the importance of freedom and that it comes at a price, a very high one. I want them to love this country the way that I do, for they are blessed to be American. I want them to be respectful and thankful.

So on Veteran's Day especially, I want to say thank you to the countless women and men who sacrifice to keep us safe so we can tuck our children in at night when they can't. Thank you for being selfless. Thank you for your service and for the service of your families. Thank you for risking your lives Every. Single. Day. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
